Fragments of Nature

A dear friend asked me, “Do you also sell your photography?” I smiled and said, “Not yet.” But deep down, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. That same evening, under the quiet glow of my desk lamp, I opened my website and added a few of my photos. Slowly started imagining how my images might one day find a home on someone’s wall. It felt exciting and frightening all at once.

These photographs are my way of bringing the stillness of nature indoors. They hold open horizons, soft light and the calm that settles in when you’re surrounded by the wild. Letting them step outside of my own world felt deeply personal. But there it was, now available on my website. I began selling my photographs for the very first time.

A few weeks later I was invited to join a beautiful event organised by Avenue Design Studio. A stunning townhouse on the edge of Antwerp was transformed into a carefully curated home, filled with design, art and ceramics. For one full weekend, the doors were open, inviting visitors to wander, pause, and feel at home.

Two of my photographs were displayed during the event. Seeing them on the walls — in conversation with other thoughtful objects and artworks — already felt meaningful. And by the end of the weekend, both photographs were sold.

I’m not sure I fully realised it at that moment, but it marked the beginning of something new. A quiet confirmation that my work could live beyond my screen and find a place in someone else’s daily life.

For now, I’ve curated a small selection of fine art prints. This is just the beginning — over time, this collection will continue to grow, slowly and intentionally.

It still feels scary. And it still feels exciting.
And that feels exactly right.

Love, FINNA
